VR Missions in Final Fantasy VII Remake is a quest category. VR Missions features a list of special combat challenges that pits Cloud and his party against simulated battles against certain enemies. VR Missions are unlocked from completing certain Battle Intel quests, as well as story progression. Acquiring VR Missions
As early as Chapter 3: Home Sweet Slums you can already unlock your first VR Mission that is provided by Chadley. Chadley has three VR Missions that you can unlock by simply completing a number of Battle Intel quests. On the other hand, once you reach Chapter 16: The Belly of the Beast, you can also partake in simulated challenges via the Combat Simulation lounge on the cafeteria level on Shinra HQ.
