Swordipede is hard to hit with physical attacks, as it can damage/interrupt party members with the spikes on its body. Barret's long-range attacks will quickly fill up its stagger meter. Once it drops to half health, it will move to the Aerith and Tifa area. The player will have a chance to switch Materia before the battle switches perspective.
Aerith's long-range basic attack and Tempest ability are the safest way to attack. Just be wary of the console in the middle of the arena, as it can block the player's view of Swordipede. When it uses Live Wire, run in the opposite direction to avoid taking a lot of lightning damage.
Attacks & Counters
|Phase 1 (Cloud and Baret)
|Electric Charge: He will charge electricity and rush towards the Characters||Run in the opposite direction to avoid the attack. You can use the charge time to attack him|
|Rain of Lightning: He will throw lightning balls from the air that cause damage||This attack is difficult to dodge. Try to stay in one corner and stay still even you are hit only by 1 ball.|
|Phase 2 (Tifa and Aerith)|
|Wheel Attack: He will transform into a wheel and move around the battlefield||Use your block to reduce the amount of damage received. He will need to recover after the attack. Use the opportunity to heal or strike back|
|Rain of Lightning: He will throw lightning balls from the air that cause damage||Run in circles in the opposite direction to avoid the balls.|
A bionic species created by Shinra's R&D Division. These specimens are difficult to control, as their behavior regulation mechanisms have not yet been perfected. They circle in the sky searching for quarry, then swoop down to attack.
