Steel Pincers Notes & Tips

  • The first time you'll get Steel Pincers, they'll also confer the Overrun ability; it charges faster than Overcharge, and can stun-lock enemies for a time if not straight-up insta-killing low levels enemies if you land every hit. Remember that every fight starts with Barret at full charge for Overrun, so it makes a good alpha-strike on the enemy at the beginning of fights to stun one enemy out of the fight.
  • Despite being a close-combat weapon, you can still use Maximum Fury and Focused Shot to hit flying or long-range enemies.
  • However, most of the time, the Steel Pincer is a slow, hard hitting close combat weapon that occasionally stun-locks most common enemies, and towards the end-half of the game, you'll miss the range of his weapon, especially with some flying bosses.
